Week 7 (13/10/2014)

This week has been a wet one but it has not stopped us going outside to do some outdoor learning. There was a great buzz of excitement when the children learnt that they would be wearing waterproof trousers.  Learning to put on and take off waterproof trousers was almost as exciting as going out in the rain to find worms, spiders, slugs and snails! Over the coming weeks we will continue to learn outside so wellies will be useful on wet days.

In our literacy lessons we have been using finger puppets to develop drama ideas. We have been working in pairs to write short play-scripts to perform next week.

We have been doing geometry in our maths lessons, thinking about 2D shapes and using some to make tessellating patterns. We used Venn and Carroll diagrams to sort shapes. We have also been cutting and folding shapes to find lines of symmetry. Try the link, see how you get on.
