Maths
In maths we have been adding and subtracting two decimal numbers, here are some examples.
0.35+0.1=0.45
0.94+0.01=0.95
0.6-0.01=0.59
We have also been practicing our times tables 3, 7, 12
3×8=24
3×4=12
7×12=84
7×7=49
12×12=144
12×6=72
English
In English we have been describing evil villains and building up descriptive sentences and looking at the features of them. For example here is a finished developed sentence:
Scaling down her shoulders like a waterfall , her grey shrivelled hair sat there like clay untouched.
She had a vicious cruel grin that glared wickedly.
This villain is : Mother Gothel from Tangled
Suddenly he paused in the middle of his sentence, you could see his pointy teeth like daggers .
This villain is: Hades from Hercules
He had wrinkles under his eyes and his skin sagged and hung limply.
This villain is : Darth Sidious from Star Wars
Science
In science we have been making cracking contraptions based on Wallace and Gromit. We have built our contraption and have planned our detailed explanation. Here is a cracking contraption.
One of the inventors more delicate inventions is the flash n’ fan 2000. You set it up and turn it on. The flash can be used if you don’t want those pesky bills getting any higher.
This is in case you have a power cut, or the air cooler breaks down this will provide you with both.
Here is the flash n’ fan circuit pictures.

History
In History we have been looking at the Vikings. For homework there is a choice of things to do. Some people bring in artefacts like Viking longboats, weapons, helmets, longhouses and posters. We also get to taste Viking food that we have made at home. Here is a longboat and a Viking collage.

P.E.
In P.E we have been doing Netball we have been playing in our house teams. Edwardians, Tudors, Georgians, Victorians. We have also been doing Hockey with Mr Shorter. We did matches in four teams we played two games at a time. Here are some examples of some rules for netball and hockey.
– Hockey
Don’t let the ball hit your foot
Use the flat side of your stick to hit the ball
– Netball
Don’t let go of the ball with both hands then catch it again
When a team scores a goal you go back to your starting positions before the game starts again.
