This week we have been working on the nuts and bolts of English grammar. We have been learning how different types of words can do different jobs in a sentence. We have learnt that the words belong to different word classes, so we have been writing sentences that have adjectives, verbs and nouns. It is important to know the different terms for the words we use so that we can develop our ability to write sentences effectively. Ask your child to give you examples for the different word classes.
In science we have been thinking about changing materials. We have had an interesting and tasty week as we observed the changes in melting cheese as we made cheese on toast. Lots of good observations and explanations about what happens when we heat up cheese!!
Everyone has been working hard to complete their Tudor houses and they all look magnificent!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful half term break and a good rest.
