In English this week, we have started our work on Persuasive writing. We have looked for features of adverts and we thought very hard about slogans that companies use. We were also given the fictitious scenario of whether a new multi-million pound hotel should be built next to the pyramids in Egypt. We gathered our ideas and then debated the question! Next week we will be looking at more persuasive techniques and then we will start to think about persuading people to visit Egypt.
In Maths, we have looking at expanded and compact methods for addition and subtraction. Next week we will be learning about fractions. Please continue to practise times tables at home.

In History we have looked at the importance of the Shaduf in Egyptian farming. We are looking forward to our Ancient Egypt workshop next week.

Reminders –
- Please remember to write in homework diaries when reading is completed at home. We check the diaries every Tuesday.
- We sent home the blue spelling books last week so that parents can see spelling test results. Please remind your child to bring their blue book back to school with their homework folder.
