I hope you have all had a wonderful week. This week in Maths we have been doing some assessments revising all of the topics we have covered so far. Remember, this has been quite a tricky year for this class as a lot of learning objectives have moved down from year 4 into year 3 with the new curriculum. The children have all worked hard and really pushed themselves. Next week we will be looking at word problems and problem solving.
Class Three have done some excellent descriptive writing for our ‘Myths and Legends’ topic. They have been retelling myths and beginning to plan ideas for their own. This will continue into our last week of term (Yes I know, hasn’t it gone quickly!)
Reminder:
1) There is no swimming this week but it will continue as usual next week.
2) Mr Fullylove has asked all of the children to practice the new notes they have learnt (the ambulance siren.) Don’t worry parents, it isn’t as painful as it sounds. The lessons are beginning to pick up pace and it is becoming apparent which children aren’t using their violins at home.
3) Just a reminder that children should still be reading regularly at home (ideally every night but I do understand this isn’t always possible). It is also important to ask them questions about the book to check they actually understand what they are reading.
