Over all it has been a fantastic week, through the dress rehearsals for the Christmas productions to the immense amount of ICT. Due to the constant rehearsals across the school the computers were free for Year 6 to use, so we had 2 long afternoon sessions with the laptops. In ICT we are using a programming program called Scratch (Now free to download!) and we are learning to create interesting games that children would enjoy. Initially we learnt the basics of the program but this week we have started implementing more complex algorithms to further enhance our I.T skills. So far we have created a maze game and now we are moving on to more complex features such as getting characters to glide. Hopefully more rehearsals will take place so we can do more Scratch.
