I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely and sunny bank holiday. Unfortunately the weather did not stay in our favour. After a disappointing start to Wednesday with our trip being cancelled, we were determined to enjoy ourselves and explore nature. We had a nature hunt across the school grounds, made beautiful temporary artwork in the style of Andy Goldsworthy and were told to inspect grounds after a flash of light and loud noise were reported in the playground. To Class 3s surprise… we stumbled across not one, but three dragon eggs!
Since our finding we have contacted a dragon expert, named Hiccup, and he has asked us to carefully look after the eggs until their mothers can be found. Don’t worry though, we will not have any dragon hatchlings as they sit dormant until a mother dragon has breathed fire on them. We have been investigating what type of dragons may hatch from the eggs. See pictures below.
Next week is SATs week. Please ensure all children get lots of sleep and eat/drink well so they come in on Monday morning bright eyed and bushy tailed. You do not need to do any revision however any times table practice and mental 4maths will support them as well as lots of word games.
