Well there goes another week and how much we have covered. The children have just finished writing up their first descriptive paragraph for Year 6 and the results are wonderful. I’ll display these over the next few days and hope you find the chance to take a look at them some time. We’ll continue to improve these skills over the next week as we search for new ways to expand an idea.
The times tables are going really well so thanks to everyone who is finding the time to spend a few moments in the week to help their children with learning and testing. The number work in class is moving off into fractions and decimals which I always try to explain through the use of pizzas so don’t be surprised if the very mention of class work makes them drool with hunger. Ah, the magic of theatre!
Thanks to all the parents who came along to the curriculum talks. It was nice to meet old and new faces alike. If you weren’t able to attend either of the meetings a letter should arrive with you in the next day or so which has some notes regarding the curriculum for this term
