Week 2 (15/1/18)

Class 4 have had another busy week.

In English and guided reading we have continued to read ‘How to Live Forvever’ by Colin Thompson. We have been looking carefully at the illustrations and thinking about the characters. We have also been writing newspaper reports about the missing book. Class 4 have all worked really hard to ensure that their article grabs the reader’s attention as well as including all of the features of newspapers.

In Maths we have been multiplying and dividing numbers by 10 and 100. We have used place value grids to explain the effect and we have been solving a range of problems.

On Monday we created pictures based around a dot. This followed on from a story called ‘The Dot’ that Mrs Barton read in collective worship last week. We painted the dots using cotton buds, pen lids and other circular objects. We are really pleased with our pictures and they are now all hanging in the classroom.

Well done to everyone who has continued to read regularly.
