Maths:
This week in maths we have been learning about multiplying fractions by single digit numbers and then multiplying fractions by mixed numbers.
English:
This week we have been learning about how to write using persuasive language and how modal verbs help. Modal verbs can either indicate certainty or possibility. We have practised using them in class debates.
Science:
In science we have been learning about animal categories and their life cycles. We have started making posters about different animals in a competition to see whose will go up on the science wall.
Grammar
In grammar we have been looking at compound adjectives and compound adverbs. We also learnt how to diagram them in a sentence diagram.
Music
In clarinets we have been finishing off our music assessments and we also learnt a new note (B).
Reminders
Swimming starts next Thursday 7th March at Cranford House. Bike Ability starts on the 12th March to the 15th March. Remember to bring in bikes but if you don’t have one, they may be able to lend you one.
