Dear Parents/ Carers,
We hope you all had a great holiday break.
The children have been very excited about being back in school. On Tuesday the children wrote postcards to their class to share what they have been busy doing during the holiday. The children posted their postcards into our class letterbox and shared the postcards with other children in their class during family time. The children listened and questioned each other about their holidays.
In Maths the children have been recapping their learning of the order of numbers. Recognising the written numeral and finding the correct number of objects to match a given number. They have been learning to find one more and one less than a number to 20 and signing number songs and finding the correct numerals on a number fan.
The children have been using ‘Tux paint’ this week to create self-portraits to put on their targets wall.
On Thursday the children went outside to do a physical session. The children warmed up their bodies and then played team games. We are sending P.E bags home this weekend. It would be great if you could ensure your child has some jogging trousers in their P.E. bag in case it is slightly cooler as well as trainers or plimsolls in their bag that fit them as this term our P.E sessions will be outside. This half term we will do skills for team games and next half term the children will do athletics skills.
Have a lovely weekend,
Best Wishes,
Miss Zimmerman and Mrs Bowden.
