Welcome back! We hope you have all had a relaxing half term.
This week at school has been very exciting! When we got to school on Wednesday we discovered some very unusual things on our playground – something from another world had crashed there! We investigated the crash site and decided that some kind of alien must have been involved. The children have drawn pictures of what the alien might look like and made collages of aliens! We also drew and labelled pictures of what the spaceship looked like before it crashed and discussed what the alien’s home planet might be like. Continuing our work on description, we have enjoyed writing character descriptions – ask us which words we chose to describe our aliens.
In maths, we have been working on quick recall of number bonds to 5, 6 and 10. The children have also been learning that subtraction is the opposite of addition.
TASK: Who can write ‘A day in the life of an Alien’? Try to use time connectives (e.g. then, after that, later) and adventurous words.
Show and tell – the children picked for next Friday (14th) are Freddie, Zachary and Oliver Sampson.
