Welcome to Term 2!
In English this week, we have started a new unit of work on Myths. We have looked at an Ancient Egyptian Creation story, a Greek myth and the Triumph of Horus. Next week we will be looking more at the features of myths and we will be starting to think about heroes and beasts.
In Maths, we have been looking at decimals. We have been converting fractions into decimals and we have been positioning decimals on a number line. We have also recapped on column addition. Next week, we will be looking at converting units of measure and we will be learning how to accurately draw bar graphs.

In Science we have started our work on electricity. We have been learning about electrical safety. Next week we will be investigating materials that conduct electricity.
Well done to everyone who completed excellent half term holiday homework. The work, along with our sewing and ‘Visit Egypt’ posters are on display in the classroom.
Well done to everyone who auditioned for our Christmas performance. We will be shortly be allocating parts across the 3 classes. The children all have a copy of the song words, these will need learning over the next few weeks!
