Maths
In Maths we have been doing: column subtraction. This is what it looks like:
We have also have been learning the frog method this is a picture of what it looks like.
We have been doing lots of for example three digit numbers subtracted by four digit numbers.
We have also been doing different subtraction methods this week, in the year five.
English
In English we have been building up paragraphs. Also to build a paragraph you have to have a go sentence to start of the paragraph. Next we needed some sentences to talk about the subject. And finally we needed a sentence to finish the paragraph.
We have been looking at the book Sir Charlie stinky socks and Mrs. Barlow put it in one paragraph on the computer and we had to find the right place to put different paragraphs.
ICT
In ICT we have been making a Viking leaflet in our partners. Also we have been decorating our Viking leaflets with images from the internet to make it look fancy. We used the app Publisher to make these wonderful leaflets look perfect.
P.E
In P.E we have been doing tag rugby. It was really fun but messy. We played capture the flag but with a tag.
Topic
In topic we have been doing different things for example in history we have done a bit of art and D.T. But we have manly been doing history. So in history we have been doing the Vikings. But the Viking topic has spread in to most of our lessons. Like ICT and we have our own Viking homework.
Swimming
Some of us in year 5 have been going to swimming lessons. In the Oratory pool. We take the minibus to the pool we leave at 9:15 and come back at 11:00.
