Week 4 (13/03/17)

In English this week we have been continuing to read Stig of the Dump. We have thought carefully about the Snarget’s including who they are and what their personalities are like. We enjoyed the story when Stig doesn’t know what a jelly baby is so he stands it in the chalk wall! We have been practising our use of conjunctions and we have been using dictionaries/ thesaurus. Towards the end of the week, we started thinking in more detail about the robbery at Granny’s house and we have planned a police report for the incident. We will be writing these next week.

In Maths, we have been learning how to do compact column subtraction whilst remembering our place value knowledge. Many of us have been challenging ourselves with spot the mistake and missing number questions.

In Geography, we have started to think about Europe. We looked at a map of Europe and labelled all of the countries that we knew and then we used atlas’ to locate other countries.
