Week 4 (13/03/17)

This week we have been finding out all about life in Chembakolli, India. We looked at life in the village of Chembakolli and the school there. We talked about the similarities and differences between Crowmarsh and Chembakolli. We also planned and wrote letters to children in Chembakolli, asking them about their lives there and telling them all about our lives and the things we get up to.

In maths we have been practising our multiplication. We have looked at questions such as 4 x 5 =, trying to solve it mentally or to draw pictures to help us work out the answers. We have also solved multiplication problems, for example ‘If Mary bakes 6 rows of 3 cakes, how many cakes will she have made?’ If you would like to do some Maths homework this week, please practise the x2, x5 and x10 multiplication facts.

In science we have begun looking at how certain materials can change their shape. We investigated what happened to different materials when we bent, twisted, squashed or stretched them. Ask us to tell you what we found out.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Marsh, Mrs Lucas & Mrs Scott
