Well done to all the children for performing the nativity play, Mend the Manger, so brilliantly this week. We hope you all got chance to come and see you child perform and that you enjoyed it as much as we did.
An exciting and important letter arrived in school this week from Santa’s chief elf, Bernard. In it he explained that there had been problems on a sleigh test flight over our village last Wednesday night – wind had blown sparkle dust into the reindeers’ eyes causing the sleigh to wobble and some sacks of presents to tumble over the side. Bernard was keen to hear from anyone who had any information, so we wrote letters back to him describing the sack of presents that we found on the roof of the outdoor classroom last week. We left the sack in the outside classroom on Thursday evening so the elves could pick it up during the night. Sure enough, it had been collected by Friday morning and we found a lovely thank you note from Bernard. He still hasn’t found all the missing present sacks though, so keep looking out for them!
In Maths this week we have been practising holding a 2 digit number in our head and counting on a single digit number, e.g. 16+3. Ask us to keep practising at home.
