We have had an exciting week, watching dramatic Christmas creations and performing our Nativity play. I’m sure you will agree that all of the performances were fantastic, festive productions. Well done everyone!
To develop our writing, some year 6 children came to our class to lead small groups and help us to write good descriptions. Each group had a Christmas picture to describe. We tried to include metaphors, similes, alliteration, personification, wow words and new ways of describing things. All this hard work resulted in some stunning descriptions.
As this blog is being written on Thursday evening, we have not yet made our Christmas cakes but hope to make them tomorrow afternoon. I would like to say thank you in advance to the parents who have offered to help. This is such an exciting activity for the children as they get to see, smell taste and learn about all the ingredients from around the world. Hopefully all will go to plan and we will ice and decorate them next week. I’m sure they will look and taste great, they would make a wonderful gift and are good value for £2.50 I think.
