Week 3 (14/09/2015)

Over the past two weeks we have been learning about snails, slugs and bugs. We named our class snail Victor and used some non-fiction text to find out information about snails. We named the spider Debbie.

This week we have been thinking about writing direct speech and used Debbie and Victor as characters in our writing. Poor Debbie got stuck in the bath and Victor had to come and save her. We used our writing to invent a cartoon strip and write in speech bubbles. We have been learning how to use ? and ! in our writing ( and reading ) and so we were able to use them in our written work.

In maths we have been working on number patterns, adding 10 and 11 and working on our number bonds.

Homework task:  Write about yourself.

Remember to do your best writing. Write in sentences and check your work.

What you like to do in your spare time. Why do you like doing it?

What do you think you are good at?

What game do you like to play? Who do you play it with and why do you like playing it?

I look forward to reading your work.
