I hope everyone had a good Easter break. It was lovely to hear about the children’s activities and adventures during the holiday. It is always a good opportunity for speaking and listening, an ideal time to boost confidence when speaking in front of the class.
In our literacy lessons we have been learning about subordination, we have been writing sentences with two main clauses or with subordinate clauses.
We have been looking at books by Anthony Browne and considering the main features of his books. We have been writing in the past tense, recounting our trip to the Tower of London. ( I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures in the last blog ).
In our maths lessons we have been reviewing a number of topics, such as multiplication, odd and even numbers, counting money and learning about graphs.
In art we have been recreating some Picasso style pictures.
*Please can you provide your child with an old shirt or painting apron so they don’t spoil their uniform.
