Welcome back! We hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter break.
This week we have started our Dinosaurs topic. The children shared their homework and brainstormed all the things they already know about dinosaurs. They then came up with a list of really good questions that they would like to find the answers to during this topic. We found out about herbivore and carnivore dinosaurs, then designed our own menus for them – leaf lasagne, pine cone pie, lizard egg stew and baby dinosaur ice cream were among the tasty treats we came up with. Ask us what herbivore and carnivore dinosaurs ate.
We also looked at a timeline to find out about how long ago dinosaurs lived and began discussing why they became extinct. We created news reports about the events that led to the dinosaurs dying out.
In maths we have been consolidating our knowledge of 2 digit numbers and place value. We have been practising adding or subtracting 1 or 10 from any 2 digit number and we’re getting really good! Ask us to show you at home.
TASK: Maths homework will be sent home in bookbags.
