The children have all settled back into the school routine. Though there are lots of tired faces already!
This is the first full week back which means that everything gets back into the full swing of things. Gymnastics and dance coaching begins for Year 5 and 6 this term as well as swimming at Berinsfield for our year 3 class. Reading Rockets are back this week to begin basketball coaching to our year 4 class and then to offer a KS2 basketball club on a Tuesday after school.
Many of our Year 5 children were excellent ambassadors for our school this morning as they toured around prospective parents for September 2015. This Friday is the deadline for parents to choose their primary schools so today was our last open morning until our next academic year.
Please can we remind you to regularly look at the school website as your class teachers will update their pages each week and other bits and pieces are added throughout the term. You will notice a full listing of all our clubs that we offer during and after school under the ‘Clubs and Sports’ tab.
Miss Hustwayte led our collective worship this morning on our SEAL theme of ‘Going for Goals.’ Children will be thinking about the targets they set themselves over the next few weeks with their renewed understanding of ‘growth mindset.’ Our ethos is always being the best we can be therefore we are always looking to challenge ourselves to be ‘purple learners,’ constantly pushing ourselves to do even better – putting in harder work, perseverance, resilience and patience……always working hard to be the best learners we can be!
