We are in our last week of school before Christmas. How quickly the time flies by! We had a wonderful week last week, full of festive spirit and cheer! We watched the KS2 
Christmas production which was performed three times for an audience! The children really could have taken the show to the West End it was so spectacular!
On Wednesday the children all visited the pantomime Cinderella. Much fun was had by all, especially when two of our children went on stage to sing ‘Old McDonald Had a Farm.’
On Thursday many of us were at the Village Carol service at St Mary Magdalene. There were some wonderful performances by Mr Lemaire’s choir, the Crowmarsh Young Singers choir, the two Beavers brave enough to sing a Christmas carol, the governors, the staff, among many others. However, Reverend Goulston and Ollie Maher stole the show with their rendition of the ‘Boys are Back in Town.’
The week concluded with our two Christingle Services in church. They were beautiful services and a reminder of the peace we should share with each other at Christmas.
This week we finish with our Reception and Year 6 Nativity, our KS1 nativity, children’s Christmas dinner, our Carols by Candlelight event and finally our Christmas jumper day in aid of Make a Wish, our school charity. Everyone will be absolutely exhausted by the end of it all! We hope that you are able to attend some of these activities this week and look forward to welcoming you into our school.
On a different note, many of you may have noticed our school listed in the top twenty schools in Oxfordshire on the recent league tables that were published by the Telegraph. Even though there is so much more than just levels that schools should be judged on, it is testament to the outstanding staff that we have at our school who are completely dedicated to ensuring every child achieves their absolute best in everything that they set out to do. Our aim is to create well-rounded and ‘dynamic’ children who are given opportunities to shine in a range of activities and events as well as the pastoral care that they require.
We challenge every child to ‘be their best’ and are committed to achieving just this.
