Gorilla books
We have been considering non-fiction books. We read some information about gorillas and have made our own information books using our drawing skills to illustrate them with gorillas.
We read the book, Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne in which four different people give an account of their visit to the park with their dogs.
To help inspire our writing, Fergus ( my dog ) came into school and everyone had the chance to walk him on his lead around the school grounds. He was very well behaved and enjoyed all the attention and fuss. Some children threw him dog treats to catch, he was in top form showing off his cucumber catching skills! As a result of our dog walking experience, we pretended to be the fifth voice in the park and wrote our stories about dog walking and meeting other characters in the park.
We have been learning about the seashore habitat and made posters using non-fiction text to inform our writing.
