In English this week we have finished our work on Stig of the Dump. We read the speech that Lou made to the cavemen and we had a go at writing our own versions of the speech. We had to make our writing interesting and imaginative whilst remembering all of the grammar that we have been learning about. At the end of the week, we wrote reviews for the book, we thought carefully about what we liked and who we would recommend the book to.
In Maths we have been looking in detail at written division using the chunking method. Throughout the week we moved on to applying our knowledge to more challenging word problems and investigations.
In Computing, we completed our Scratch maze games and we had a go at playing each other’s games.
Over the past few weeks in art we have been working in 3’s to paint a landscape picture inspired by the view across the field from our school. We are hoping to display some of the pictures soon!
Please remember to keep reading to earn house points and remember to hand in homework from the Takeaway menu!
We hope that you all have a lovely half term!
