This week in maths we have been learning about different types of triangles. We looked at the properties of isosceles, scalene, equilateral and right-angled triangles. We have also been learning about quadrilaterals. We have been drawing and describing shapes such as rhombus, parallelogram, kite and trapezium.
In English we started the week recapping what we have learnt about diagramming prepositional phrases. Later in the week, we looked at free verse poetry. We discovered that free verse poetry has no particular rhyming, rhythm or pattern to it. We then started to plan and write our own free verse poetry. In reading we have continued to read the ending of ‘The Wolves in the Walls’.
This week in history, we have been working on group presentations based on our Roman topics. In groups, we have been researching a Roman theme such as Gladiators or Roman money and we created PowerPoint presentations to show what we have learnt. On Friday, we shared our presentations with the rest of the class.
