In maths this week we have started to look at the place value of three digit numbers and have been using manipulatives and pictures to represent them. We have also practised our mental maths using place value to add 10 and 100 to 2 digit numbers.
We have continued with our setting descriptions in our English lessons and are working hard to extend our sentences by answering the adverb questions (who, what, why, when, how).
For our topic on the local area we are now focusing on the question ‘Why do people visit Crowmarsh/Wallingford’. Next Wednesday we will be walking to Bridge Villa camp site and interviewing the people staying so this week we spent some time planning what questions we would like to ask them. In science the children have been exploring magnets and in ICT we are continuing our work on Publisher.
