Week 6 (4/12/17)

This week in guided reading, we have finished reading ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’. We read about the firework competition and found out what the three gifts were. We have thought about key messages that the book is trying to promote such as always being determined and never giving up. In English we have started to plan and write a diary entry from Lila that tells us what happened before, during and after the firework competition. We will be continuing with these next week.

In Maths we have been learning about perimeter. We have been calculating the perimeter of rectangles and solving problems such as – The length of a rectangle is 5cm, the perimeter is 32cm, what is the width of the rectangle?

We have spent quite a lot of time this week rehearsing for our Christmas performance. Thank you for providing costumes and props, we hope you enjoy watching the production next week!

Well done to everyone who has continued to read regularly.
