Week 6 (06/07/2015)

Dear Parents,

This week we talked about what the children wanted to share in their Sharing Assembly. The children decided that they would share their ‘Write dance’ what they learnt when watching the chickens grow as well as talking about ourselves and planting runner beans. The children decided they would like to share their skills of recorder and show the grow ups ‘Disco Dough’ to favourite songs. The children then spent time deciding what to say about these themes and practising in the classroom and the hall.

On Wednesday the children went to visit class one for the morning. The children took their purple learning box and talked to Mrs Lucas, Mrs Marsh and Mrs Hyde about how we use the box in year R. They designed crest of their favourite things to do and drew faces to go on to their purple leaning bus. All the children returned from year one excited about year one.

The children have been continuing to share stories with each other and year 4. The children should continue to practise their reading every day at home and use flashcards to practise recognising digraphs and trigraphs.

It was great to see so many friends and family at Class R sharing assembly, Thank you to all those that came along.

Have a fantastic weekend,

Miss Zimmerman, Mrs Bowden and Miss James.
