Dear Parents/Carers,
This week we have been learning about what information is, and how we can find out different information. We had a thought shower of our ideas and then looked at information books to find interesting pictures and facts.
In Maths, we have been learning about 2d and 3d shapes. We “were counting to find out how many sides” shapes had and using other mathematical language such as corner, edge, face, vertices curved.
On Tuesday “the snow was cold and we were throwing snowballs at each other and we were making snowmans and sometimes we were helping our sisters or brothers to make snowmans or having a snowball fight, it was fun.”
We have talking about the different languages that children in our class understand and speak. We are learning to count to ten in Pilipino; we are also going to learn this in Czech and Good Morning and Good Night in Polish. As a school we learn German so have been beginning to learn our days of the week in German. We have enjoyed talking about the different languages and finding the countries on the world map then making flags to display in our classroom.
Have a fabulous weekend,
Miss Zimmerman, Mrs Jameson and Mrs Bowden.
