This week in English we have been learning about play scripts. Firstly we looked at a play script and identified features of the genre. Then we worked with a partner to turn a chapter of The Secret Garden (when Mary and Colin meet) into a script. Finally, we planned our own secret garden inspired script. Next week we will be writing, editing and improving these play scripts.
In Maths, we have been recapping written methods for division and then later in the week we looked at how knowing factor pairs can help with multiplication/ division and we have been solving problems involving money.
In Geography, we used atlases to locate capital cities in Europe and we learnt about continents and oceans.
Science – we are encouraging the children to conduct further research into our science topic. Please follow this link to find out more about materials.

In Music, we have been continuing to develop our recorder skills!
