Dear Parents/ Carers,
This week the children have been talking about their family. The children have learnt about labels, drawn their families and then labelled them thinking about the initial sounds in words.
In Maths the children have been exploring different ways to put five into a ten frame. They have been learning that they can move the cubes/objects into different positions and there will still be the same number as we had not taken any away or added any more.
The children have been exploring and challenging themselves on the traverse line this week. Holding the top rope and balancing along the lower rope.
The children learnt the song ‘Big red combine harvester’ this week to sing in our harvest collective worship. They very much enjoyed their performance.
Next week the children will be beginning to learn more about Harvest and the food we eat. We will be reading the story ‘The Sandwich that Max made’ and following instructions to make a sandwich.
Thank you for the home learning you are completing at home with your child, we have very much enjoyed sharing the learning in school.
Have a fabulous weekend,
Miss Zimmerman, Mrs Bowden and Mrs Roberts.
