In Literacy, we are studying Macbeth by Shakespeare. It’s an amazing story and most of us are enjoying it very much. The first task Mr Silvester set us was to describe how Macbeth was feeling and acting after he found out his wife wanted to kill Duncan-the king. We did the same thing for Lady Macbeth but for our homework, we had to include: similes, metaphors and effective vocabulary. Comparing Macbeth and Lady Macbeth was our penultimate task; we had to think of a subject to base it on. Our task we’re working on now is to write a diary entry about Macbeth and how he feels about killing the king, a few of us are choosing to write in a completely different voice to our own.
Maths. It’s tough. Mr. Silvester pushes us so much we improve like mad. A lot of us feel that we have improved so much just in 3 months!
Geography in year 6 this week links to science quite a bit. After doing a whole big project on space-which we still are doing-we decided to learn a bit about how volcanoes and mountain ranges were created by the moving plates on earth. Our Earth is extremely fascinating!
