This is just a random selection of Class 3’s brilliant work but it will shortly be on display so please feel free to come in and see it once it is up.
In English we are continuing our topic of Myths and Legends. This week we have been looking at a new myth from Sierra Leone about how night came to be. We will stick with this myth for the next week or so. The children will learn the myth in detail and write it in their own words. Then they will adapt the story to create their own version of a myth.
In Maths we have finished our fractions work and are now looking at angles. The class have been revising their knowledge from last year of acute, obtuse and right angles. They have made their own right angle measurers and have been spotting right angles all over the school.
We are well underway in our new Geography topic. The class have been extremely enthusiastic about bringing things in to share and talk about. Next week we are having a special guest come in and talk about some interesting places that children may not be so familiar with.
Times table game (next week the test will be on the 7x tables) http://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button
It also has lots of other great quick fire games. Choose which activity you want to work on (number bonds, halving, doubling, times tables, division facts or even square numbers.)
