In English/ History this week, we have been using everything that we learnt last week to write newspaper reports about the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb. We had to think carefully about the style of writing as well as the information that needed to be included. At the end of the week, we typed and formatted our reports to make them look like a real newspaper.
In Maths we worked hard on rounding numbers to 10, 100 and 100. Later in the week, we have been rehearsing subtraction.
In Computing, we all had a go at logging on to our school email. We have been learning how to open and send emails.
Homework task for this week –This week, please can all children make a huge effort to learn the song words for the Christmas performance as well as any lines for speaking parts. Some children found our rounding work tricky – please encourage the children to practise this at home.
Homework diaries will be collected in every week (usually on a Tuesday), house points will be given to children who have read at least 4 times at home and have had their book signed by an adult.
