Week 4 (16/03/2015)

This week in English, we have been looking at information texts. We started off by identifying features of information texts. Then we thought about Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, we looked at pictures and decided what information we would need to know if we were going to visit. We then stated to research information. Next week we will be using this research to write our own information text.

In Maths this week, we have been learning about expanded formal multiplication. We also had a go at solving word problems which involved multiplication and division. Next week we will be recapping subtraction.

In Science this week we have been investigating how sounds get fainter as we move further away. Next week, we will be reviewing all of our work on sound.

In DT this week, we have started to make our own replica of a famous structure. We are attempting to make the Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building, the Millennium Wheel and Big Ben!

In ICT, we’ve finished off creating our own databases based on the class.

Visit to Dorchester Abbey on Monday – Please remember to bring a packed lunch including a drink and a coat. Any parent who would like their child to sit on a booster seat for the journey should provide one on Monday.
