Maths

In Maths we’ve been looking at adding and subtracting. We’ve been looking at adding 2-digit numbers to 3-digit numbers and exchanging. We did a ‘Do it, Twist it, Deepen it’.

English

In English we’ve been writing our diaries as the Cheshire Cat and we used a ‘fish-bone’ plan. Recently we’ve been writing a Mirror Mirror story about a girl who goes through a mirror in an old attic.

Fluency

In Fluency we have been dividing and using numicon to help us divide. We also learnt that the times table can help with dividing.

Guided Reading

In Guided Reading we have been reading different books in groups. The groups do fluency reading and comprehension. We also have booklets which have comprehension questions in them.

*As a whole class we spent Friday morning discussing International Women’s Day which took place on Thursday. We talked about equality in England and around the world. The children were very interested in learning about children in other countries, the Royal Family and the government. We shared women we thought were important historically and why they were important.
