This week in English, we have been finishing our work on play scripts. We have continued to practise changing a story text into a play script. Then we worked in groups to write our own play scripts inspired by the works of Shakespeare. Next week we will be starting a new unit of work on explanation texts.
In Maths this week, we have been rehearsing the 11 and 12 times tables. We have also recapped different methods that we can use for multiplication (partitioning, rounding & adjusting, mental methods and doubling.) Finally, we looked at formal written methods for multiplication. Next week, we will be looking at properties of 2D and 3D shapes.
In Computing this week, we have continued to work programming our sprites to move around our maze games.
In History, we learnt about why Henry VIII remarried. We focussed on Henry VIII’s first 3 wives and we talked about the problems that Henry VIII had, how he tried to solve them and whether the solution worked.
In Science, we have continued to learn about living things and their habitats.
