This week we have been writing character descriptions based on Willy the Wimp. We have focused on writing in sentences and organising our work into paragraphs. We talked about the importance of checking our work and making changes to improve our writing.
In science we have been planting seeds. If you have some spare at home and would like to donate them to school, they would be most appreciated.
In maths lesson we have worked on multiplication and division, recognising that they are inverse operations. We have also learnt to break a number to make it easier to add. For example,
27+6 ( break 6 into 3 + 3 ) 27 + 3 = 30 + 3 = 33
Home task: have a go with these at home, try some bigger numbers.
