This week we have been continuing to find out about life in the Victorian times. We have been listening to the story of Oliver Twist and having a go at summarising the story. We also found out some more about the terrible living conditions of some people at that time.
In maths we have been finding ways of working out change. If, for example, we were working out 19p – 12p =, we could:
- Count on or back on a number line
- Use /draw coins and take them away
- Partition the amounts to take away using the part- part whole model

We can take away the ones first 9 – 2 = 7
Then the tens 10 – 10 = 0
Then we add our 2 answers together 0 + 7 = 7
As P.E.
Please can we remind you that homework needs to be handed in on a Thursday in order for it to be marked and returned by Friday. Thank you.
Have a good weekend,
