This week in English, we researched the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb. We learnt about how Tutankhamen died when he was just 18 years old having been king since he was 9. We found out that archaeologist Howard Carter found the tomb in 1922 having it been previously undiscovered for around 3200 years. At the end of the week we started to look at newspaper reports. Next week we will be combining all of this knowledge to write our own newspaper reports about the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb.
In Maths, we spent the first half of the week continuing with negative numbers. We have been solving true or false problems, we drew number lines in order to prove the answer or find out what the answer really was.
We have solved problems such as –
True or false -8 + 13 = -5

Answer – False because -8 + 13 = 5
In Computing this week we all went onto our school email account, we opened an email from Mrs Corrigan and we sent replies!
In art this week, we made canopic jars with clay.
