This week we have been practising our subtraction and addition skills in maths. We have been trying to apply what we already know and choose appropriate strategies to help us solve a range of arithmetic and reasoning questions. Within our discussions, we have tried work out which are the most efficient methods to help us. Lots of us have been using counters to represent tens and ones – ask us how we do it.
In our topic work we have looked at pictures of a busy Indian street market and have tried to describe the scene. Having had a go at the beginning of the week, we then looked at good examples of good descriptions and discussed what we could do to improve ours. We were then able to write more detailed and organised descriptions by the end of the week.
This week we were lucky enough to have another visitor in school during collective worship who talked to us all about being amazing! Ask us to tell you what we found out from him and what he used to inspire us.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Lucas, Mrs Marsh and Mrs Scott
