Week 2 (20/04/2015)

This week in English, we have been continuing to look at play scripts. We have learnt about William Shakespeare and we have read a simple version of The Tempest. We thought about the characters in the story and we have started to change sections of the story into a play script. Next week, we will be having a go at writing our own Shakespeare inspired play scripts.

In Maths this week, we have been learning about decimal numbers and we have recapped how to multiply/ divide numbers including decimals by 10/ 100. Next week, we will be looking at written methods for multiplication and we will try to check our multiplication work using the division inverse operation.

In Computing this week, we have continued to work on creating maze games in Scratch.

In History, we have started our Tudor topic. Last week, we learnt about Henry VIII and his six wives. We learnt the rhyme ‘Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.’ This week, we thought about what Henry VIII would have spent his time doing e.g. dining at banquets, travelling by carriage and enjoying music/ singing.
