This week we have really enjoyed exploring comics and learning about the different types of speech used by characters in a comic strip. We have also been using pictures from ‘The Voices in the Park’ to plan parts of our own comic strip. We have been focusing on learning about the use of speech and thought bubbles.
In Math we have been learning to subtract numbers by counting back on a number line. We have also been learning to find the difference between two numbers. The children have then used the one thing many ways approach to show all the different ways they can subtract two numbers.
For science we have begun to look at the human body and the children worked very well in groups to create their human body map. For Geography we will be exploring China and as part of this we have been finding out different facts about Chinese New Year. We have then designed some Chinese New Year’s dragons mask to practice our sketching skills in Art.
