We started this week by watching a theatre production of Dick Whittington, we all really enjoyed the show!
This week in English we have continued to read The Secret Garden. We have been thinking about Mary and how her character is beginning to change. We worked hard to write diary entries, we then carefully edited our work thinking about our next steps in writing. We have also been learning about speech punctuation and we have been identifying effective description in the book.
In Maths, we have been revising expanded and compact column subtraction. We have also been learning our times tables – please keep working on these at home.
In art/ computing, we have started to learn about stop-frame animations. We have thought about a short film that we would like to create and next week we will be making our scenery and characters. We need cardboard boxes to make the scenery, if you have any unwanted boxes please send them into school asap.
