English
In English this week we were given a reading book called the River Singers. So far we have really enjoyed it and it was hard to put down. On this book we were given some tasks to do.
You could choose either to explain how the water voles were feeling or what their feelings are to each other.
Also we did a piece of writing on a piece called the Piano.
Here is an example:
Tides turn as fumbling fingers scale through the first notes. With the river of memories flowing as it always use to and always will.
Piercing a tired, aging brain and body the memory of my wonderful wife playing this very same dazzling duet right next to me. Constantly caring her long lost face that was of beauty and hopeful colour.
Entwined thoughts get suddenly caught on war time. With the gargantuan loud gun shots and the placid perusing plane where not the worst of my heart-wrenching times at war.
To be finished. by Oliver millbourn
Maths
In maths this week we have been looking at fractions and simplifying fractions. Some people went out with Mrs Barlow to use pizza to help them. At the end we were all ravenous!
ICT
In ICT we have been looking at Scratch. We made our own maze games like last year ( But Better! ) and at the end played each others games. We realised some were impossible so had to change them.
PE
In PE this week we did Athletics. We did 3 events, they were the obstacle race, the “Over and under race”, the one on one relay!
