This week we have continued to develop our story telling by acting out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. There are some great budding actors in class one!
We learnt the rhyme, ‘Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear’ and performed it in groups. Everyone has a copy of the words and I am sure would love to recite it at home.
In our maths lessons we have continued to make progress and improve our counting skills by using a variety of apparatus and developing our use of the Bar Model. It would be fantastic if you could ask your child to count a number of objects by arranging them in lines and / or group things in tens.
Following on from our science investigation last week, we went on to discuss the qualities of the materials, decide which one would be the best for the job and record our results.
We have enjoyed a successful Grandparents Week. It was great to meet so many grandparents this week and share the school experience.
This week, everyone in school has had the opportunity to help create a series of mosaics which will be displayed in school when they are complete.
