This week in English, we have started to look at our non-fiction Ancient Egypt book from the See Inside series. We have looked at the general features of non-fiction texts as well as organisational features specific to our text. We have also thought about the information that the book contains and the way that the ‘flaps’ help to engage the reader. Later in the week, we started to learn about the features of instruction texts.
In Maths, we have been counting on and back in steps of 6,7, 9, 25 and 1000. We have been solving problems such as:
- Hassan counts on in 25’s from 250. Circle the numbers he will say.
990, 125, 300, 440, 575, 700
- Convince me that the number 14 will be in this sequence if it is continued.
49, 42, 35, 28 …….
In art, we have continued to work on sewing our initials in hieroglyphics onto binca. We have been working hard to use different types of stitching.
Please make sure that homework is now being completed from the Autumn Term 2 takeaway grid.

Well done to everyone who has continued to read daily!
