Welcome back. We hope you all had a relaxing Easter break.
This week we have started our new topic ‘Superheroes’. We have discussed what we know about superheroes and have shared some great stories including ‘Supertato’ and ‘Superhero Hotel’. Ask us what superhero stories have in common. On Tuesday we designed our own superhero characters which we then wrote superhero profiles for, including information about their background, their powers and any superhero equipment they use.
In maths we have been learning more about position and direction, describing position and movement using the vocabulary forward, backward, left and right. We have realised that it is very important to look at which direction an object or character is facing before we can work out which is its left or right! Later in the week we added more directions including 1/4 , ½ and whole turns in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.
In science we have been looking at how animals, including humans, change as they grow older.
