Hello all! Well done for a great first week back. It has felt very calm in the classroom as we burst into our new learning for the final term of Class 3!
This week we have been learning about fractions in Maths, and Myths in English.
Our topic this term is Ancient Egyptians, so next week we will be writing our own version of the Egyptian creation myth. I wonder if your child(ren) will be able to tell you the story over the weekend?!
This afternoon, just before the heavens opened, we were treated to an impromptu gardening session, led by the wonderful Anna Franklin. The children got so much out of the experience, and it was wonderful to see them putting their group work skills into practice, being polite and helpful, and having meaningful conversations about ‘real life’ eco issues – some of which were very topical! Next week, we will be having another (less impromptu) gardening session, where we will be doing some planting, so if you’d like to provide overalls/boots/gloves to keep them a bit less muddy, please do! (This week, we wore PE kits).
I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday! Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Barlow
